A Kitchen Down for Weeks, Not Months.
Cabinets, counters, plumbing, electrical and tile — sequenced so the trades arrive in the right order and your kitchen comes back on schedule. Serving homeowners across Greater Boston.
Why Monteiro
Kitchens Stall on Scheduling, Not on Skill.
The reason kitchen projects drag is almost never the tile work. It is cabinets ordered late, a countertop that cannot be templated until the boxes are set, and an electrician who shows up the week after he was needed. We order long-lead items first and sequence around them.
Licensed and insured in Massachusetts, working across Greater Boston.

How A Project Runs
Six Phases, In This Order.
-
Design & Layout
We work through the layout, appliance sizes and how you actually cook before anything is ordered.
-
Estimate & Ordering
Itemized estimate, then cabinets and appliances ordered immediately — these set your whole schedule.
-
Demolition
Protection down, old kitchen out, and anything hidden behind the walls surfaced while it is still cheap to address.
-
Rough-In
Plumbing and electrical moved to the new layout, inspected before walls close up.
-
Cabinets & Counters
Boxes set and levelled, then the countertop templated to what is actually installed, not to a drawing.
-
Tile, Trim & Final
Backsplash, trim, fixtures and appliances, then a walkthrough and your punch list before we call it done.

Common Questions
Before You Sign Anything.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
For a straightforward renovation with cabinets already on site, plan on several weeks of no kitchen. The schedule is driven by cabinet lead time and by the countertop, which cannot be templated until the boxes are in.
When do I need to pick everything out?
Cabinets and appliances before we start, because they set the schedule. Tile, fixtures and hardware can follow, and we will tell you the date each decision is actually needed.
Do I need a permit?
If plumbing or electrical moves, yes — and that is most kitchens. We file it and handle the inspections. A cosmetic swap with no relocation sometimes does not, and we will tell you which one yours is.
Can you set up a temporary kitchen?
We can usually rig a sink, fridge and microwave elsewhere in the house. Ask at the walkthrough so it is planned rather than improvised on demo day.
What if you find something behind the walls?
Old wiring, failed plumbing and water damage do turn up. We stop, show you, and price it before continuing — never after.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration #212825, with liability insurance and workers’ compensation.
